Ichiban Volleyball Club Frequently Asked Questions

What does Ichiban mean?
Ichiban means to be the best and number one in Japanese.
 
How many girls on a team?
10-12 with 10 girls being optimal.
  
What are the practice locations?
Inside the Perimeter Sports, Greek Orthodox Church, Cliff Valley School, (practice days to be determined once teams are formed)

What are the benefits of playing volleyball at a young age?
Generate exposure, just like so many other young girls who start playing soccer, softball, or cheering at the tender age of 5, volleyball can provide fitness and fun. Volleyball is a unique sport in that it takes a true team effort.
 
Where are the tournaments held?
The majority of the tournaments will be held within 1 hour of our practice facilities.   We may travel 2-3 hours to Chattanooga, Birmingham or North Georgia to play.  Room & Board fees are not included for away tournaments.  

 

What does it cost to play?

UNIFORM PACKAGE

  • $350 for All Players 2023-24: 2 practice shirts, 2 spandex, 1 LS jersey, 1 SS jersey, 1 warm up jacket, 1 warm up pants, 1 backpack**

ELITE LEVEL   - all 1s teams 

  • 15s - 17s – : 2-3 practices per week, 8 tournaments (including 2 travel tournaments),  coach fee, gym rental, equipment (travel costs not included)
  • 14s & 13s – $2900: 2-3 practices per week, 8 tournaments (including 2 travel tournaments), coach fee, gym rental, equipment (travel costs not included)
  • 12s – : 2-3 practices per week, 8 tournaments (includes 2 travel tournaments), coach fee, gym rental, equipment (travel costs not included)

CLUB/LOCAL LEVEL   

  • 15s - 17s – : 2 practices per week, 6 tournaments,  coach fee, gym rental, equipment 
  • 14s & 13s – : 2 practices per week, 6 tournaments, coach fee, gym rental, equipment
  • 11s &12s – : 1-2 practices per week, 6 tournaments, coach fee, gym rental, equipment
